Health Care Minister of Bosnia's Republika Srpska (RS) entity Alen Seranic stated Tuesday that, according to the data from suppliers and distributors, the new doses of vaccines will arrive on February 28, and that these are the announced 10,000 doses.
“I hope this will be implemented so that we will be able to start a mass vaccination,” Seranic told reporters in Prijedor, where he attended the beginning of vaccination of health workers at the “Doktor Mladen Stojanovic” Hospital.
Speaking about the vaccination of health workers from the RS in Serbia, for which there were inquiries, Seranic announced that it would start Wednesday when the first health institutions will send their employees to Serbia to locations along the border.
“The vaccination is starting in Sremska Mitrovica and Loznica, and we received information from the Government of Serbia that Sabac is also starting with the vaccination, so that, according to the plan that the Ministry is continuously working on with colleagues from the Government of Serbia, these institutions have already been informed. We are aware of the fact that everything is going very fast, but we certainly expect from the health workers and directors that we all work together to finish this job as well as possible,” said Seranic.
He stated that during the weekend it was agreed with the Government of Serbia to expand the capacity in connection with the vaccination of employees from private health care institutions, as well as from private and public institutions of collective accommodation of social protection, primarily from nursing homes.
