Nine migrant families who were staying in abandoned houses in Bosnia’s northwestern Una-Sana Canton (USK), without adequate shelter, were moved to the Borici and Sedra migrant reception centres, the state Service for Foreigner’s Affairs said on Sunday.
The 43 migrants in total, including 19 children, were discovered staying in houses that did not provide adequate living conditions and were moved with the help of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).
The migrants were placed in isolation in the migrant centres, in accordance with measures necessary in light of the coronavirus pandemic, the institution said.
