There is no official confirmation that export of poultry and eggs from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union would be terminated, according to a meeting held in Sarajevo on Thursday.

Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation in Sarajevo Richard Masa and Foreign Trade Minister Stasa Kosarac said they possess no official documents confirming such information.

“In regard to that, I dismiss the speculations that recently emerged about the export ban from BiH to EU. Our primary goal is enabling the foreign trade from both Republika Srpska and Federation (Bosnia’s two semi-autonomous regions), with the EU market having crucial importance,” the minister stressed.

The meeting also discussed the necessity of meeting the conditions on lab testing, carried out by laboratories in BiH. It was stressed that this process has to be conducted in line with prescribed standards.
