Zeljka Cvijanovic, a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, commented on the adoption of the Srebrenica Resolution.

“You want to live collectively with others, and then you say this. It is useless, unhealthy, and can only make things more difficult. The hatchets should have been buried long ago so we could live together. I won't comment specifically on the voting; we'll see how it looks. There is no consensus or unity regarding this Resolution,” she stated.

She further added, “There are various reasons why someone will vote a certain way. I do not wish to hurt any victims. All victims deserve respect. I make no distinction, but others run campaigns. When I say all victims deserve equal treatment, there's always a reaction from political Sarajevo.”

Nenad Stevandic, Speaker at the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska (NSRS), also spoke about the Srebrenica Resolution.

“A warning will be sent tomorrow to the General Assembly,” Stevandic remarked, referring to discussions at the NSRS session. He continued, “A point regarding the stance of the Republic of Srpska will be included and will be one of the first items on the agenda. I believe we will have a collective stance, not just individual statements.”

The United Nations General Assembly is set to vote on the Srebrenica Genocide Resolution on Thursday, May 23. The resolution does not mention collective responsibility in any of its statements.
