The Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina rewarded the country's best female swimmer Lana Pudar, who recently passed the A Olympic mark and qualified for the Tokyo Olympics, with 11,000 euros and a monthly stipend.
Besides qualifying for the Olympics, 15-year-old Pudar also set a new national record in the 100 m butterfly swimming discipline during a competition in Serbia last weekend.
Speaking to media following her achievement, the young athlete said she was feeling “proud, satisfied and happy.”
“Of course, it takes a lot of work, effort and sacrifice, talent and a lot of people from whom I have immense support. These are first of all my parents, and then coaches, teachers, colleagues and friends,” she said.
Pudar said she would train hard to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina the best she can during the Olympics in Tokyo.
Pudar will share the financial support she received from the Olympic Committee with her coach Alen Cemanovic.
