Kosovo Government said on Wednesday it would close nightclubs and ban weddings as of Friday after Pristina reported four coronavirus-related deaths and 2,110 new cases of infection out of 10,258 tested people in the last 24 hours.

The death toll stood at 2,295.

The new measures will be in place through September 1 and also include shorter working hours for restaurants.

Health Minister Arben Vitia said they would affect many sectors, but they aimed to preserve public health.
