Plenkovic: New agreement on border crossings to bolster transport connectivity

"Our focus remains on the further intensification of economic cooperation between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the European integration process, and ensuring the equality of all three constituent peoples within BiH," Plenkovic stated via social media.

The leaders discussed the requisite next steps for the Southern Gas Interconnection, a project regarded as being of strategic importance for Bosnia’s energy security.

"We anticipate the swift conclusion of negotiations regarding a new Agreement on border crossings, which shall further enhance transport connectivity between our nations," Plenkovic noted.

Furthermore, he reaffirmed that the Croatian Government would maintain its financial support for projects vital to the standing of Croats in Bosnia, noting that such initiatives also serve to facilitate the broader development of the country.
