A donation of medical and protective equipment for the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic, including 20,000 protective FFP2 and FFP3 masks, 20,000 gloves, 800 protective suits and 1,000 antigen tests, has arrived at the Sarajevo International Airport on Saturday.
Poland’s Ambassador in Bosnia, Jaroslaw Lindenberg, said at the handover ceremony that the donation is meant for medical institutions in BiH and expressed hope that the second part of the donation arrives in the country at the end of April or the beginning of May.
Bosnia’s Security Minister, Selmo Cikotic, expressed gratitude to Poland and its citizens on behalf of Bosnians, stressing that this is the third time Poland has secured help for Bosnia during the pandemic.
“The fact that both the state of Poland and the Polish people are significantly burdened by the consequences of the Covid pandemic makes this assistance even more valuable and significant,” Cikotic said.
