Police have identified a larger group of illegal migrants from Afghanistan in an abandoned facility in Bihac, northwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina, and transported them to a nearby migrant camp in the village of Lipa, Bosnian Security Ministry said on Thursday.

During a regular patrol, police have discovered 42 men in an abandoned facility of the former Kombiteks factory.

All migrants discovered there were single Afghan men, including one minor.

All of them were provided with accommodation in the Lipa migrant camp, set up earlier this year which can accommodate up to 1,500 persons.

Bosnian authorities fear that their country could be hit by a new migrant wave, following the toppling of the Afghan government. For now, there is no confirmation about the number of Afghan refugees on the so-called Balkan route going up.
