A video showing a teenage girl beating another girl of approximately the same age, in presence of their classmates who recorded the video and often encouraged the fight, was first seen on social networks and soon afterwards was carried by numerous online media outlets. The incident was reported on May 7 and the investigation has been launched immediately.

“The police immediately took measures and activities to determine all the facts and circumstances. They will take statements of the witnesses, and will take into consideration the video,” said spokesperson Hasan Hodzic, adding that further steps will depend on the cantonal prosecutor's office.

Besides the police, other institutions such as schools and the Social Welfare Centre are engaged in the investigation.
