Prijedor Prosecution opens investigation into covid-19 vaccine destruction

They are charged with negligent work in the service and failure to comply with health regulations at the time of the pandemic.

The Republika Srpska (RS) entity police searched the institution earlier. They recorded the situation and seized the documentation.

The two are suspected of being responsible for the destruction of 1,360 doses of Sputnik V vaccine planned for revaccination of people older than 65. The tragic event was caused by a power failure which then caused the disruption of the cold chain.

The director of the Health Centre, Slobodan Javor, offered his resignation on the account of moral reasons but he never submitted it.

In addition to offering his resignation, Javor also presented some shocking information. Namely that there have been breaks in the cold chain before, and there are suspicions of a diversion.

following the indications about the power outage, and about the wrong refrigerator, now the suspicion of party diversion is cast. Javor stated that a similar thing happened last year with children's vaccines. Just at the time when the DNS was replaced, and the SNSD administration was appointed.
