On Wednesday evening, around 7 pm, the body of Halida Mujedinovic (63) was discovered in the family house in Gradacac, the Prosecutor's Office of the Tuzla Canton announced adding that the body had visible head injuries.
Namely, an axe was found in the room where the woman was killed. The body was found by her daughter from her first marriage, the Prosecution said, adding that there were no traces of rummaging in the house.
They recalled that the body of her husband Refik Mujedinovic (69) was also found on Wednesday morning near his son's house in Srebrenik, where he committed suicide by hanging.
The investigation in the house in Gradacac was carried out last night by the on-duty prosecutor in cooperation with the investigators of the Criminal Police Department of the Tuzla Canton’s Interior Ministry, during which all relevant clues related to the murder were collected.
Autopsies will be performed on Thursday on both bodies to determine the exact cause of death.
The on-duty prosecutor will issue orders for all the necessary expert examinations, including DNA analysis. Numerous investigations are being carried out in order to determine all the circumstances related to the murder, the Prosecution said.
