Youth forum the Krug 99 association organized a protest in Sarajevo under the name "All for Bosnia, Bosnia for all!" to protest due to authorities in BiH’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity organising a celebration for the unconstitutional “Day of the RS”.
“The symbolism is strong. We gathered in front of the monument of the first king of Bosnia, Tvrtko. The members of the BiH Presidency are not with us at the moment and we hope that they will join us. The main message is that we oppose the normalization of the “RS Day”. It is becoming normal to celebrate it and we are against that. The situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina is a state of hybrid war, and we want to establish forces of resistance for that hybrid war,” said Rijad Ahmetovic, a member of the association.
He added that the protesters are aware that they have no political authority, but that they are raising the voice of resistance against every form of destabilization of BiH.
“We are the line of resistance. Until now, no rally like this has been organized against the unconstitutional RS Day, which is embarrassing for us. Pensioners who survived the trauma of aggression and war are here with us. We want to emphasize that if (Milorad) Dodik is prepared to make threats, we are ready to defend,” Ahmetovic said.
