State Minister for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Lolwah Rashid al-Khater, met on Friday with the Mothers of Srebrenica Association, during her visit to Potocari, where she attended the commemoration of the 29th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in the United Nations Safe Zone and the burial of identified victims from July 1995., a day before.
On that occasion, Minister Al-Khater spoke with the president of the “Movement of Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclave” Association, Munira Subasic, and other representatives of the families of the murdered Srebrenica residents.
Expressing deep respect for the mothers of Srebrenica and their sacrifice, the senior Qatari official emphasized that the world has not learned the lessons of the great crimes committed in the past, which is why the genocide happened in Bosnia and Herzegovina, just as it is happening today in Gaza, almost 30 years after Bosniaks Golgotha of the central Podrinje region.
During the commemoration of the 29th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, Minister Al-Khater signed the book of impressions at the Battery Factory in Potocari, one of the symbols of crimes against humanity in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina.
