Rehabilitation efforts continue in Donja Jablanica after natural disaster

Efforts to rehabilitate Donja Jablanica after recent flooding are ongoing, with significant support from local authorities, volunteers, and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The latest updates show coordinated efforts to restore infrastructure, assist affected residents, and assess damage across the region.

During the day, work continued on rehabilitating the area in Donja Jablanica, with the engagement of machinery and volunteers, and since this morning, 30 members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been re-engaged, according to the latest report from the HNK Civil Protection Operations Center.

Road communication and building clean-up is ongoing in Donja Jablanica, as well as in the areas of Zlata, Mirka, Cehara, Civelja, across-lake villages, and the road to the city's landfill at Zakom.

Intensive work is being done to make the M-17-5 Jablanica-Blidinje main road operational again.

Main roads M-17, M-17-5, and M-16-2 are being maintained by the FBiH Roads Directorate along with its design and contracting companies.

Additionally, expert teams are assessing the damage and providing recommendations for their removal.

Food and medicine deliveries are being made to residents in the municipality.

Work has also continued on the development of the site for setting up container housing for families affected by the floods.

Throughout the day, the City Civil Protection Headquarters of Konjic has managed relief and assistance activities for the population in the affected area.

Expert commissions have been fully deployed on the ground and have assessed the damage.

Construction machinery in the field has been engaged in the rehabilitation of the consequences of the natural disaster.
