The remains of 14 victims of the genocide committed in Srebrenica in the summer of 1995 are ready for burial at the collective funeral that will be held on July 11 this year, in the Srebrenica Memorial Center in Potocari.

The spokesperson for the Missing Persons Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Emza Fazlic, said that this number of victims that will be buried is not final and the families of the victims who have been identified with the help of the DNA method still have enough time, until the beginning of July, to decide to take this step, i.e. to give their consent for burial at this year's funeral.

She stated that there are remains of 11 more genocide victims, in the Commemorative Center in Tuzla, who have been identified using the DNA method but families have not yet given their consent for their burial, mainly due to the incompleteness of the bodies of these victims.

She said that, according to the consents obtained so far, the youngest victim who will be buried this year is 17-year-old Beriz (Omera) Mujic, born in 1978 in Zvornik. The oldest is Hamed (Ibrahima) Salic, born in 1927.
