Minic identified the primary reason for his departure as the malfunctioning of the system, which he claimed is causing harm to all of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He explained that this move addresses challenges regarding the government's standing, particularly those raised by the international community. "We will elect a new Government of the Republika Srpska. I am submitting my resignation to show our political strength, seriousness, and power," Minic stated, adding that while the formal process is unpleasant, it is necessary.
The Prime Minister confirmed that all relevant authorities have been notified of his decision. He also revealed that he has consulted with the President of the Republika Srpska, Sinisa Karan. According to Minic, President Karan has already expressed his intention to re-propose him as the mandate holder for the new government, asserting that the current cabinet continues to hold full support.
This development follows Minic's recent appointment to the position, where he succeeded Radovan Viskovic of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD). Prior to this press conference, there had been no official indications or announcements suggesting such a significant change in the entity's leadership.
