Residents of Donja Jablanica briefly block Major M-17 road in protest over local govt meeting

The residents, whose community has been affected by floods and landslides, demanded clear answers on key issues such as the safety of Donja Jablanica, the feasibility of returning to their homes, the status of a nearby quarry, and when contaminated materials would be removed. However, they found the responses provided by Jablanica Mayor Damir Sabanovic unsatisfactory.

Following the meeting, many left in frustration and carried out a brief blockade on the M-17 highway between Jablanica and Mostar. The residents said they expect concrete actions and have warned of another blockade in seven days if their demands remain unmet.
