Revenues from indirect taxes in the first three months of 2024 amounted to 2 billion and 630 million Bosnian marks (some €1,334 billion) and are higher by 8.29 percent or by 201 million marks (some €100 million) compared to the same period in 2023.
In the first three months of 2024, the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH (ITA BiH) returned 523 million marks (around €222 million) to the economy based on VAT refunds.
The net collected revenues that were distributed to beneficiaries, namely the state, entities and Brcko District, amounted to 2 billion and 107 million marks (some €1,077 billion) and are higher by 240 million marks (€170 million) compared to the income that beneficiaries received from the Single Account for the same period in 2023.
Only in March 2024, 873 million marks (around €436 million) of indirect taxes were collected, which is 15 million marks (around €7 million) more than in March 2023.
An amount of 250 million marks (€125 million) has been allocated for the financing of state institutions in the first three months of 2024.
Thus, an amount of one billion and 139 million Bosnian marks (some €583 million) was allocated to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 638 million (€319 million) to the Republika Srpska, and an amount of 64 million (€32 million) to the Brcko District.
In addition to distributed revenues, based on the special toll for the construction of motorways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 marks), the Federation of BiH received an additional 53 million marks (some €26 million), the Republika Srpska 35 million (around €17 million) and the Brcko District 2 million marks (some €1 million).
