Republika Srpska (RS) entity Parliament Speaker, Nenad Stevandic, said on Wednesday that the Republika Srpska "will not falter in the face of threats", but that January 9 - which the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared unconstitutional as the RS Day - "will be celebrated magnificently this year in the presence of numerous dignitaries from the region and Europe, including Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban."

“We will not falter in the face of threats regarding the commemoration of Jan. 9,” Stevandic told the journalists, adding that “the RS has an answer and shows that it is above that petty, rotten rigged game that ‘they’ are trying to play on its territory.”

International community’s High Representative Christian Schmidt previously recalled that the celebration of January 9 as the Day of Republika Srpska “is a clear and direct failure to implement the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the decisions of the High Representative,” and that disobeying the decisions of that Court is a criminal offence.
