The solution to the current political situation in BiH can be achieved only through the respect of all three constituent peoples and not by advocating for the interests of one people, as part of the international community has done so far, the Speaker of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity National Assembly Nedeljko Cubrilovic said during a meeting with the German Ambassador to BiH Margaret Uber, on Thursday.
“Speaker Cubrilovic pointed out that the long-term support of the international community exclusively to the Bosniak side and their efforts to unitarize BiH, contrary to the Dayton Peace Agreement, led to the Republika Srpska being forced to defend its constitutional powers in every peaceful and legal way,” the announced from his office said.
He expressed his opinion that there are no visible and sincere intentions of part of the international community to truly listen to the views of the RS, which, according to him, insists on respecting the Constitution and the Dayton Peace Agreement.
Speaker Cubrilovic said that the biggest problem in BiH was the mutual distrust among the three constituent peoples, as well as the alleged unprincipled attitude and interference of part of the international community in internal affairs in BiH, adding that progress could be achieved only through dialogue and agreement between the most important Bosniak, Serb and Croat political representatives.
