Russian Embassy to Bosnia told N1 Thursday that they offered to mediate in the procurement of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine.

“In connection with your request, we would like to inform you that the topic of vaccine delivery to Bosnia and Herzegovina was touched upon in almost all talks held by the Russian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Kalabukhov with the leadership of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BiH Council of Ministers and BiH entities,” Russian Embassy to BiH said.

The statement added that this was especially discussed with the Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH Ankica Gudeljevic, as well as the Prime Ministers of Bosnia's Republika Srpska (RS) Radovan Viskovic and Federation (FBiH) entity Fadil Novalic.

“In accordance with the existing competencies, the role of the Embassy is to provide possible assistance in establishing direct contacts between the BiH authorities, as well as certain commercial companies with the Russian Direct Investment Fund,” the Embassy said.
