Sarajevo airport locks in record Ryanair summer schedule for 2027

According to Ryanair's plans, starting in March 2027, the airline will operate its largest-ever summer schedule from Sarajevo, offering up to 425,000 annual seats across a record number of routes, including several new destinations that will further improve the connectivity of Bosnia and Herzegovina's capital with European markets. At Ryanair's request, details of the record-breaking 2027 summer schedule will be officially unveiled in the coming months, Sarajevo International Airport said in a press release.

The renewed partnership between Ryanair and Sarajevo International Airport will further strengthen Bosnia and Herzegovina's position as one of Europe's fastest-growing tourist destinations. Ryanair's low-cost business model continues to serve as a strong driver of tourism development, with its routes attracting a growing number of first-time visitors to Bosnia and Herzegovina, reinforcing Sarajevo's role as a leading regional hub for affordable and high-quality European connectivity. Sarajevo International Airport said the partnership marks a new and highly significant chapter for the airport and for positioning Bosnia and Herzegovina on the European tourism map.

Under its summer-focused business model, Ryanair will operate flights from Sarajevo between March and October 2027. Accordingly, the airline will not operate from Sarajevo during the IATA 2026/27 winter season. Both parties consider this operating model to be optimal in line with current operational conditions and market demand. The new destinations and details of the summer flight schedule will be announced and opened for bookings in the coming months.
