An anonymous bomb tip was received at Sarajevo International Airport, on Friday. After the alleged placement of an explosive device on the premises of Sarajevo International Airport, the competent services immediately took all necessary measures in accordance with current security protocols.

A detailed counter-subversion review is being conducted. In cooperation with the competent security agencies, the complete safety of all passengers and employees at the airport is ensured.

“We ask citizens for their understanding and thank them for their patience,” the airport said.

Sarajevo International Airport will continue to monitor the situation and will communicate any further information in a timely manner.

A bomb was also reported on September 23. A detailed mine-sweep of the airport's facilities was carried out and it was determined that it was a false tip.
