Celebrating Easter mass in Sarajevo, Archbishop Vuksic said this holiday should be a reminder of the true values of faith and the foundation of Christianity as represented by the resurrection of Christ.

Christians show their faith with deeds and kindness because faith without deeds is dead, he added.

In our hearts there should be room for all the people we live with and meet, so the truth should be spread that we are all brothers and sisters, Vuksic said. “That we are people comes before any other identity and belonging.”

He wished for the resurrected Christ to give everyone the wisdom and common sense to contribute to that, and for there to be enough wise people in societies and states who will sensibly manage differences, build peace and trust, and resolve only through dialogue the questions awaiting a just answer.

Speaking words of hate, spreading fear and threatening others is contrary to God's will as well as man's happiness, Archbishop Vuksic said.
