While various NGOs and governments are collecting aid for those who lost everything in the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria, one boy in Sarajevo came up with a way he can help - he is selling tea, and all the proceeds will go to those in need in those countries.

Benjamin Mehanovic, 12, is a seventh-grade student at the “Skender Kulenovic” Elementary School in Dobrinja, Sarajevo.

He has a small stand in the neighbourhood where he is selling tea for his noble cause.

The death toll of the 7.8-magnitude quake that struck the region last Monday has meanwhile surpassed 36,000.

BiH sent several rescue teams to Turkey and the Council of Ministers approved one million BAM from its budget to help the country.

Meanwhile, BiH citizens have collected tons of humanitarian aid, which the local organisation ‘Pomozi.ba’ has started sending to the affected areas on Monday.
