Sarajevo Canton authorities declared April 13 the day of mourning in honour of wartime general of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina Jovan Divjak, who will be buried on Tuesday.
A commemoration for the late general will also be held on Tuesday at the Sarajevo National Theatre.
As the Law on the Day of Mourning in Sarajevo Canton prescribes, the flags in front of cantonal institutions will be at half-mast, while all working meetings, sessions and other gatherings will open with one-minute silence.
The wartime general passed on April 8 aged 84 after a long illness. Many Bosnians and international figures paid tribute to Divjak in their farewell messages.
