Pavic Pecenkovic is currently undergoing criminal processing at the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton (MUP KS), after which she will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office.
As a reminder, since this morning, searches have been underway at the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Sarajevo Canton, as well as the Ministry for Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees, as part of the continuation of Operation “Envelope” conducted by the MUP KS.
"Enda Pavic Pecenkovic is a suspect. The Prosecutor’s Office charges her, together with Adna Mesihovic and through the mediation of Ibrahim Obhodjas, with favoring his sister in order to secure her employment in the Ministry for Labor. More information will follow during the day," Bavcic stated.
As previously known, the Municipal Court in Sarajevo ordered one-month custody for Ibrahim Obhodjas and Minister Adna Mesihovic, who were arrested in the same operation.
They were detained due to the risk of influencing witnesses, destroying evidence, obstructing the criminal investigation, and the risk of reoffending.
For the suspect Dzenita Viteskic, restrictive measures have been imposed as requested by the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office, including a ban on performing official duties in her role as assistant minister.
Adna Mesihovic and her assistant Dzenita Viteskic are suspected of the criminal offense of abuse of office or authority. Specifically, they are suspected of illegal employment practices within the ministry.
