The Sarajevo Canton (KS) Government and the Cantonal Tourist Board will express their gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Serbia for their generous donation of 20,000 vaccines to the Canton in April this year by awarding 2,000 electronic vouchers – codes to Serbian tourists, the Canton said Thursday.
The Canton said that a public invitation has been published for this purpose on the website of the KS Government and the KS Tourist Board, in which all business entities registered to provide catering services with accommodation facilities are invited to apply for the List of selected accommodation facilities where coupons can be realized.
These electronic coupon's individual value is 200 Bosnian marks (some €100), will be available to the citizens of Serbia until December 30, 2021, for a minimum of two days of accommodation with breakfast for two people. A total of 2,000 e-coupons will be issued, for which the Government of Sarajevo Canton has allocated 400,000 Bosnian marks (roughly €200,000).
It is planned that one accommodation facility can accept a maximum of 300 electronic codes intended for this purpose.
After receiving the list of 2,000 citizens of the Republic of Serbia, which will be made and submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the KS Tourist Board will send the e-coupons to the received e-mails together with the List of selected accommodation facilities. After that, the owners of the e-coupon will have 30 days to book accommodation in the Sarajevo Canton.
“The Serbian Government will make a list of its citizens who will stay in Sarajevo for free, we would like them to be health workers who have made a special contribution through vaccination of numerous BiH citizens in Serbia in recent months, but it will still be a decision of the Government of Serbia,” Sarajevo Canton's Prime Minister Edin Forto said on this occasion.
