Sarajevo Canton continues to set new tourism records, with an 18.1% rise in tourist arrivals between January and September compared to the same period last year, according to the Sarajevo Canton Tourism Board.

Overnight stays have also increased by 14.1% during this time, and tourism revenue in the first half of 2024 grew by 8.6% compared to the same period in 2023.

Sarajevo International Airport has reported a record number of passengers, accompanied by a 20% rise in flight operations.

Looking ahead, the Sarajevo Canton Tourism Board plans to intensify efforts to promote the city in major European markets as well as in the USA, China, and Singapore. They will conduct an analysis of tourist profiles and support various projects, including cultural and sports events during the winter season, through their public call “Sarajevo Winter Fest,” the Board announced.
