On the occasion of commemorating the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Slovak Republic, the Sarajevo City Hall was lit up in the colours of the Slovak flag. The event was attended by Ambassador Roman Hoben, the Embassy team, as well as members of the Slovak contingent of the EUFOR-Althea mission. 

In a statement to N1, Ambassador Hoben expressed his gratitude to BiH for supporting this event and assessed the bilateral relations between the two countries as very good. He also used the opportunity to wish the BiH citizens a happy and successful New Year, with the hope that BiH, following the example of the Slovak Republic, will become part of the Euro-Atlantic integration in the near future, and on that path, he added, it will have the support of the Slovak Republic.

In the New Year's spirit, Hoben revealed that he saw off the old year and welcomed the new one with his family in Sarajevo, on the city square, with a great mood prepared by the Dubioza Kolektiv band.
