The Municipal Court in Sarajevo confirmed an indictment against Jasenko Tufekcic, former delegate and vice-chairman of the House of Peoples of Bosnia’s Federation (FBiH) entity, who stands accused of fraud in the service and forgery of an official document.
Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office alleges that Tufekcic, while serving as a delegate and vice-chairman of the FBiH House of Peoples from July 2011 to April 2017, submitted 355 official travel orders which contained false information. He allegedly used a vehicle belonging to his political party, but wrote in his orders that he was using his personal vehicle “although he did not own a car, nor did he pass a driving test.”
“Although the accused had the right to use the official car of the House of People, he refused it, because in that case, he would not have the possibility to collect the transportation costs, so he used the party's car and was paid about 40 thousand Bosnian marks for the travel orders he submitted to the parliament,” the Prosecutor’s Office said.
