Sarajevo General Hospital “Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nalas” said Tuesday they are ready to take responsibility regarding the inoculation of Sarajevo Canton residents.

This health care institution said they had already formed inoculation teams and their staff was made available at full capacity to Sarajevo Canton residents si that the immunisation against the coronavirus would be implemented as best as possible.

The Hospital said the whole process would be coordinated with the Crisis Staff of the Sarajevo Canton's Health Ministry and other Cantonal health institutions.

Bosnian health and political officials confirmed the country will receive the first shipment of Pfizer vaccines via the COVAX facility in late January. They noted that the first to receive it will be health professionals working in Covid-19 departments, after which other doctors, elderly and people in care homes will receive the vaccine free of charge.
