Sarajevo International Airport surpasses 2024 passenger record

For comparison, the same number of passengers in 2024 was achieved only at the end of December, clearly demonstrating how dynamic and successful 2025 has been in terms of air traffic growth.

The increase in passenger numbers is the result of a strategic expansion of destination networks, the arrival of new airlines, improved connectivity with key European and Middle Eastern cities, and growing interest in Bosnia and Herzegovina as an attractive tourist and business destination.

“As we summarise the results of our most successful summer season to date, we are preparing for the winter season and the new winter flight schedule, which takes effect on October 26, 2025.

Once again, we would like to emphasise that these impressive figures are the result of joint effort, dedication, and professionalism of all employees, as well as a confirmation of successful cooperation with numerous partners, airlines, and institutions,” the Sarajevo International Airport stated.

By the end of the year, the airport expects continued passenger growth, which will certainly exceed all previous projections and set a new historic record for the Sarajevo International Airport.
