Sarajevo Mayor walks the Cannes Film Festival red carpet

"It’s an honour to attend this world film festival in the role of Mayor of Sarajevo, a proud UNESCO city of film, as well as last year's winner of the 'Cannes Global Production' award," Karic said from the red carpet.

She pointed out that she is particularly pleased with the great interest of the public in the BiH pavilion, which she visited last year as well.

"I was personally convinced that this year's BiH pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival has attracted a lot of attention from world-renowned connoisseurs and lovers of the seventh art," Karic said.

She also used her visit for a bilateral meeting with the host mayor, David Lisnard, at whose invitation she travelled to Cannes.
