Sarajevo named top value destination for 2025 by SkyScanner

According to the renowned British magazine Time Out, "Sarajevo, the unique capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, full of bridges, is where flying is most affordable." Compared to the period from January to June 2023, flight prices to Sarajevo in 2024 have decreased by 45%, making it a must-visit destination for 2025, the article recommends.

Adding to the appeal, Sarajevo was recently voted the best destination for 2025 by the readers of National Geographic Travel. Affordable flights are likely to further encourage tourists to visit the city in the coming year.

"Numerous new destinations and affordable flights from Sarajevo International Airport are the result of public calls, incentives, and aviation development measures carried out jointly by the Tourism Board and the Government of Sarajevo Canton along with the Airport, with continued implementation planned for the coming year," the Sarajevo Canton Tourism Board stated. "As a result, alongside 23 new destinations we are directly connected to, Sarajevo Canton has recorded a 20% increase in tourism traffic, an 8.6% rise in tourism revenue, and received well-deserved awards as a top global destination."
