Hundreds of citizens and activists participated Sunday in a peaceful march through the streets of Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in support of the people of Palestine and members of the international humanitarian flotilla who were recently detained by Israeli forces while attempting to deliver aid to the population of the blockaded Gaza Strip.

The initiative was organized by an informal group of citizens aiming to support activists detained in international waters, as well as to highlight what they described as the ongoing violations of international law and repression against humanitarian workers.
Participants in the march carried Palestinian and Bosnian flags, as well as banners with messages calling for an end to the war, the lifting of the Gaza blockade, and the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes.
Organizers emphasized the importance of continuing to raise their voices against injustice and showing solidarity with the Palestinian people, who have suffered from intense military attacks and blockades for the past two years.

With this protest, Sarajevo joined numerous European and global cities hosting similar gatherings in support of Palestine, including Istanbul, Berlin, Rome, London, Paris, Barcelona, and other major cities.
Since October 2023, the Israeli military has killed more than 67,000 Palestinians in Gaza, most of them women and children. Continuous bombardment has made the enclave uninhabitable and led to hunger and the spread of disease.
