A Vigil Mass was held last night at Sarajevo's Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, while the Christmas Mass was hald on Monday morning.
The evening Mass in the Bosnian capital gathered many believers, who came to celebrate the arrival of the feast of the birth of Jesus Christ with joy and unity. N1 recorded the festive atmosphere in the city centre.
The central Mass celebration was held Monday at 10:30 am, on December 25.
Both Christmas Masses in the Sarajevo Cathedral were led by the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Metropolitan Mons. Tomo Vuksic.
“Grateful to the heavens for this birth and the gift of salvation, we ask the mercy of God to forgive us our weaknesses so that we can, first of all, celebrate this Eucharistic celebration in a dignified way and thus prepare for our final conversion and consecration for the sake of our eternal salvation and the salvation of all people,” Archbishop Vuksic said.
