The Railways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that the seasonal passenger train from Sarajevo to Ploce and back will operate from June 28 to September 1, running on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The train departs from Sarajevo at 7:15 AM and arrives in Ploce at 10:36 AM. The return trip leaves Ploce at 6:26 PM, arriving in Sarajevo at 9:51 PM.
One-way tickets cost 25 BAM, and round-trip tickets are 41.40 BAM, valid for one month. Discounts are available: students, journalists, pensioners, and groups of more than six adults receive a 30% discount, paying 18.60 BAM for one way and 37.20 BAM for a round trip. Children aged 4-12, blind persons and their escorts, and groups of more than 30 adults receive a 50% discount, paying 14.30 BAM for one way and 28.60 BAM for a round trip.
Tickets must be purchased by 12 PM the day before the planned journey, providing full name, birth year, and passport number for customs control efficiency. Tickets are available at sales points in Sarajevo, Hadzici, Konjic, Mostar, and Capljina. Passengers starting their journey in Ploce can buy tickets from the conductor on the train.
Payment can be made in convertible marks or euros, but tickets are not available online.
Due to this seasonal service, the departure times of the afternoon train from Capljina to Sarajevo will be adjusted from June 28 to September 1 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
