Over the last 24 hours, 31 patients died from COVID-19-related complications and out of 17,782 tested, people were infected with the coronavirus, Serbia's Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

To date, COVID-19 claimed a total of 4,778 lives with a mortality rate of 0.91 percent.

On Tuesday, 4,778 patients were hospitalised, 211 of whom on ventilators.

Since the epidemic outbreak in March 2020, 3,182,095 people have been tested, and 526,112 samples have returned positive for the new virus.
