The Government of Serbia decided to send another donation of 10,000 AstraZeneca vaccines to Sarajevo, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Thursday.
“Either tonight or tomorrow morning we will send 10,000 vaccines to Sarajevo to help our neighbours and friends in the fight against this (coronavirus pandemic),” Brnabic told reporters.
She said Serbia will continue helping as much as possible in the future and show solidarity with other nations in the region.
“We cannot be safe until the entire region is safe too,” the PM added.
Early March, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic donated 10,000 more doses of AstraZeneca to Bosnia's Federation entity.
“We need each other the most because we live next to each other and we have no one else to rely on. Because today, when we expected the help of much more powerful countries, we are relying on each other, because we in Serbia cannot be happy if people in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla, Bijeljina are not happy too,” he said addressing the media at the Sarajevo International Airport during the delivery ceremony.
