The President of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity Milorad Dodik and member of the Serbian Parliament Branimir Nestorovic openly advocated the establishment of Greater Serbia in Banja Luka on Wednesday, announcing that they will work together on the implementation of such a project.

Nestorovic, whose party “Mi – glas iz naroda” (“We – the voice of the people”) won seven mandates in the last parliamentary elections in Serbia, travelled with his colleagues to Banja Luka to meet with Dodik. Both of them openly spoke to journalists that they shared the common idea that all Serbs should live in one state and that they plan to take concrete steps to make that happen.

“The Republika Srpska will be independent,” said Dodik, adding that the current entity will build strong ties with Serbia immediately after its secession from BiH.

Nestorovic, on the other hand, standing by Dodik, said that he appreciates the statement of the current RS President that “it is time for Serbs to start thinking about living together in one state.”

“All Serbs should live in one state and be part of the Serbian world,” said Nestorovic, who before entering politics was known as a doctor who opposed vaccination and who urged Serbs to go shopping in Milan during the pandemic. He also stated that he is not convinced by the claim that the Earth is round.

the Serbian MP also noted that he expects that he and his like-minded colleagues will come to power in Serbia in three years when they will begin the establishment of Greater Serbia. Until then their “red lines” will be to prevent the introduction of sanctions against Russia, the non-recognition of Kosovo and the protection of the RS.

Dodik, on the other hand, supported the idea of a “Serbian world”. “What's wrong with that?” asked Dodik, who claimed that the communists were guilty of stigmatising the establishment of Greater Serbia.

Both confirmed that they dislike the European integration project and want close relations with Russia, and Dodik said that from his point of view, the EU has lost all appeal.
