Upon arrival to a one-day visit to BiH, Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic reiterated that there is no cooling of relations between the two countries, at least not from Serbia’s side.
“I know how much Serbia cares about having better relations with BiH, how important regional cooperation and connection is to us, and how practically and pragmatically we are working on that. In the end, by symbolically connecting the highway between Belgrade and Sarajevo, we are building a highway from two directions to Sarajevo, and I think that we have no future without reconciliation and better communication and cooperation. I also know what the policy of President Aleksandar Vucic is, and that is, above all, regional cooperation and better connections and relations,” Brnabic said in the southern town of Nevesinje.
When asked whether a highway to Sarajevo is more important for the relations between the two countries or her and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s visit to Sarajevo, she said that highway is more important.
I have no problem with coming to Sarajevo and I always like to go there and I hope to do so soon. It is important to leave the past behind, we cannot forget it, but to forgive and go boldly further into the future – that we can,” she said.
Brnabic will visit several other southern towns in BiH and open Santic’s poetry nights in Mostar at 6 pm.
