Bosnia and Herzegovina has reached an agreement to acquire gas from Serbia’s natural gas provider so BiH’s Federation (FBiH) entity will not be left without a supply until the part of the pipeline that broke down in Bulgaria is fixed.
The FBiH Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry, Nermin Dzindic, confirmed this information for N1.
“We have a sufficient expected amount (of gas) for the citizens of FBiH,” he said, explaining that an agreement was achieved with Srbijagas to provide gas to FBiH until the issue is resolved.
Earlier on Monday, public kindergartens across FBiH had informed parents that there will be no heating in their facilities as of Tuesday due to the problem.
According to Dzindic, however, the gas from Srbijagas is expected to arrive already on Monday evening.
