Aleksandar Vulin, Serbia’s Interior Minister, called on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s tripartite Presidency member Sefik Dzaferovic on Monday to "extradite Naser Oric to Belgrade" and say who tried to murder President Aleksandar Vucic in Srebrenica in 2015.
Vulin commented on the BiH request for the extradition of Dusko Kornjaca, accused of war crimes in Bosnia. Belgrade refused, and Vulin said that the warrant for Oric, a wartime commander in Srebrenica, was issued by Serbia for crimes against the Serbs in Bosnia.
Oric, Vulin said, was never held responsible though Serbia issued an international warrant for him.
The Minister said he “neither wanted nor had a legal right” to extradite Kornjaca, who lived in Serbia since 2007, became a citizen and worked as a doctor at Vojvodina Clinical Center.
Vulin recalled that BiH authorities had never found those responsible for an attack on the then Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic during his visit to Srebrenica in 2015 to pay tribute to the victims of the 1995 genocide there.
Belgrade denies the that genocide took place in Srebrenica despite two international court rulings.
