Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he was “very concerned” with what is happening in Republika Srpska, Bosnia's Serb-majority part, and that he is afraid the foreigners decided to go “very hard.”
The statement comes a day after international peace envoy in BiH, High Representative Christian Schmidt passed a decision to anull two laws in Republika Srpska, which were marked as unconstitutional.
The laws, one of which banned implementation of BiH Constitutional Court's decision in the Serb entity and other banning High Representative's decision in that part of the country, were recently passed at the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.
Commenting on the developments in Bosnia, Vucic said he discussed everything with Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik but also with “other factors and people he trusts in RS and for whom he believes know how to assess (the situation).”
“I think a huge and bad crisis is underway there and I won't speak further about that,” he said.
The President of Serbia also said he is awaiting Dodik's first reaction in a statement announced for today (Sunday).
“I will follow his address live,” Vucic told TV Prva.
Asked what could Dodik say, he replied that he could only guess but was not sure about it.
“I talked to him yesterday, he called me on the way back from Bratunac (Bosnia's eastern town). I'm afraid that the foreigners decided to go very hard, we'll see,” he added.
