Hundreds of supporters of the Islamic scholar Dzevad Goloc and other interested citizens gathered Tuesday night at a controversial public forum in Vogosca, a town near Sarajevo, called "The Crime of Atheism," organized by the Association "Tempo" which mainly focuses on religious topics.

Dzevad Golos, the speaker at the public forum which gathered several hundred attendees, has a large number of followers among youth in Bosnia on social networks.

Incidentally, the event caused a fierce reaction among the public, especially in Sarajevo, where a ban on the event was also sought, marking it as a space for hate speech.

The organizers of the event told N1 that their aim is not to spread hate speech and that this was an educational event.

Some politicians from the Democratic Action Party (SDA), Faruk Kapidzic and Haris Zahiragic were also present at the meeting.

During the day, the forum was the subject of discussion on social networks, and intellectuals condemned the organization of the event, linking it to "religious radicalism".
