The meteorological website Severe Weather has issued a high-risk warning due to a “dangerous severe weather outbreak” expected on Thursday across the Balkan peninsula.
“High risk has been issued for southern Croatia, southern Bosnia, southwestern Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Albania and northwestern North Macedonia with a threat for severe damaging winds, large to very large hail, torrential rainfall with flash floods and tornadoes,” the Severe Weather website said.
Marginal and enhanced risks have been issued for western Croatia, northern Bosnia, most of Serbia, western Slovenia, and parts of Italy, Albania, North Macedonia and northern Greece “with a threat for severe winds, large hail, torrential rainfall, and some tornado threats.”
