Two suspects were arrested and another one is on the run after a shooting which left one police officer wounded in Avramovina near the town of Gradac on Saturday evening.

Police received a tip about cannabis plantations in the area and went to intervene, and officers were sent to investigate. They found the persons believed to be responsible for the plantations at the site. The suspects opened fire at the officers, wounding one of them.

The officer suffered multiple injuries and was urgently transported to the Tuzla Medical Center. He is currently in stable condition.

The Tuzla Canton Prosecutor's Office is not willing to disclose many details about the investigation in order to avoid jeopardising the activities since they believe the main suspect is still on the run.
