Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), in cooperation with the Service for Foreigners' Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, located six citizens of Afghanistan and Egypt in Sarajevo, one of which was on an international Interpol warrant issued at the request of Interpol in Serbia.

The international warrant was issued to arrest and extradite the said individual to the Republic of Serbia for prosecution for the crime of “illicit production, possession and trafficking of arms and explosive substances.”

By order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, SIPA officers searched a residential building on Wednesday and confiscated a pistol. One person was arrested in the operation, while the remaining five individuals were handed over to further jurisdiction of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs of BiH.

The aforementioned activities were implemented based on international cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia, SIPA announced.
